Warm Wishes has officially been open for three days! As I sit here in the blue shop-corner-armchair I reflect that I am still surprised this is my life now. I get to hang out in a colorful and whimsical store full of products I curated or created. That hopefully bring you joy! I’ve loved hearing people laughing to themselves as they read cards on the card wall, or witnessing friends negotiating which academic planner each likes best, or seeing kids returning with their pals to point out the sticker or candle they plan to get the next time they come in with a family member. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to meet or be reintroduced to community members and visitors alike. And perhaps most shockingly I’ve gotten to see Napkins become a sleepy and playful shop dog. If you don’t believe me, come see for yourself!
Grand Opening schedule
On Saturday, August 13, we have another fun celebration planned from 10am-4pm. I’ve already received new products this week including thank you note box sets, sticky notes, and Iowa stickers. New products are coming next week as well!
The Warm Wishes official ribbon cutting will take place at 10 (giant scissors and all). At 10:30, Darcy (Lane) Hathaway will lead a story time for kids of The Jolly Postman or Other People's Letters followed by a kid-friendly activity. The Centennial is providing custom cutout cookies- free for any visitors while supplies last!
You can also drop off any donations for the Greene County animal shelter, PAWS, at Warm Wishes this weekend as part of the special Dog Days of Summer event Friday and Saturday.
Thank you for supporting Warm Wishes. Whether you stopped in, sent a text, liked a post, placed an order, or said hi on the street, I’m so grateful for your positive vibes. Hope to see you soon!
