Hiiii it’s been awhile! I have thought about writing a few times but just haven’t felt motivated to send anything out. Today is a milestone day though: a year ago, on April 21, 2022, I launched the online shop! I posted the drawing that Alyse made on social media the day before to hype it up:
And then the 21st, I published the website, told you it was all happening in an email and blog, and sat in my friend’s backyard trying not to check my phone for orders. That memory makes me wish it was still backyard sitting weather and not this windy rainy business…
This is me trying to remind myself it’s a big deal that I not only still have an active online shop but a brick and mortar as well! Even though April has been a slowww month for local shoppers, I’m still here. I have my community of people that believe in the vision of Warm Wishes showing up with their support. My inventory used to fit in a couple of boxes under my desk and now it fills an entire store. I carry products from artists I didn’t know existed a year ago and host community workshops and events- I even have a kid hosting their birthday party here next weekend.
There’s so much more I could say but really I just want to show my gratitude. So, thank you for your support. Thank you for your kind messages, check-ins, visits, and orders. It’s exciting to think about how much the store will continue to change in the next year while also maintaining our core values of being about celebrating and connecting.
