Hi!!
Did you know next week is August?? Yikes! August brings a lot of things: the start of school here in Jefferson, hopes for the last 90-degree-weather days, and maybe most importantly: the second annual Stationery Store Day. You may remember that Stationery Store Day 2022 was our first day being open as a full brick-and-mortar store. This is the day to celebrate local paper shops. So, if you've been wanting to visit Warm Wishes, Saturday, August 5, could be a great time to do so! Or, visit your own local shop. Stores are participating all over the country, and internationally- check out the full list!
Join Warm Wishes as we celebrate both Stationery Store Day and our first-year anniversary with cookies, story time, letter writing activities, exclusive Stationery Store Day products, and just your usual overall celebratory vibes.
The details:
When: Saturday, August 5, 10:00am-4:00pm. Story time at 10:00am and structured activities from 10:30am-12:00pm.
Where: 200 E State Street, Jefferson, IA. And shop our Stationery Store Day merchandise online!
What to expect: Cookies from the Centennial, free stickers for our first 20 customers (including online!), special Stationery Store Day sticker sheets and pre-stamped Stationery Store Day postcards available for purchase.
PLUS Darcy Hathaway is continuing the tradition of reading The Jolly Postman or Other People's Letters at 10:00am.
AND THEN from 10:30am-12:00pm we'll have letter writing activities and crafts with help from our friends at the Jefferson Public Library. They'll also have letter-themed books available for checkout. Anyone is welcome to participate!
Thank you for all your support this first year. Thank you for shopping, visiting, telling your friends about the store, texting on slow days to check in, liking my (sometimes unhinged) social media content, telling me I was brave on the days I felt anything but, and for believing in the store. Warm Wishes is the same place it was a year ago: a space focused on community, connection, and celebration. Here's to many more!
Love,
Klang
