Embroidered Lavender Sachets workshop

In this workshop you’ll learn how to embroider a monogram or short phrase on a vintage linen hankie, that you can then hand-stitch into a lavender filled sachet. This class is beginner-friendly (no previous sewing skills necessary) and ok for ages teen+. Registration covers the cost of all supplies. This workshop is Thursday, April 9, from 6:00–7:30pm.

About the instructor: Sarah Bierstedt of Purple Pincushion is a full-time maker specializing in repurposing vintage textiles and discarded wool sweaters into a variety of beautiful products for you and your home. She has been sewing for 35 years and takes pride in using her skills to create items that evoke nostalgia and happiness. Her handmade business, Purple Pincushion, has been her full-time job for the past 15 years. Vending at handmade shows in and around Iowa allows her to meet face-to-face with customers. She is always happy to offer encouragement to new sewers and could talk for hours with seasoned stitchers. Sharing her love for handmaking brings purpose and joy to her life.
